That gizmo looks like a case trimmer for hand loading ammunition.

I found a stash of Parma flag spacers that didn't get thrown in the round file
Country dwellers say you'll find a use for anything and everything within 7 years. I beat that by 6 1/2 years
Parma needs to re-label them as "Gold Cup flag spacers" - they are a perfect fit for the sleeve
Problem fixed, the dc-65x gizmo saved the day
Note to self, using a 3/4 GL on this body requires a tube of <.220. Water under the bridge.
Now, where did I put that doggone spoiler material ?

Joe Reid of SRP in NC sold a gizmo similar to this for facing gears, wheel hubs, & bushings. It might have fit on 1/8 axles & guide posts, but I doubt it was bored to fit anything with a 3/16" diameter. I'll have to reread Rick's thread to see if I can gather more info on the "gizmo."
Your's is called a "reverse spotfacer."

Thanks everybody !! I give all the credit to Capt. Rick; all I had to do was follow his lead
Track test and tune possibly later this week, then she goes up for sale.

Red, how about the Lotus as a race prize instead of a box of pancake mix?

Thanks Paul
Track test completed today at World Champion Greg Gilbert's track "The Nightmare".
Right out of the box it was perfect, no adjustments needed. I drove it, then handed it over to Greg.
It handles beautifully, no bad habits, drifts real sweet. Power is perfect for the car and it runs dead cool.
Greg loved driving it. He started out slow then pushed it harder and harder.
Check out the wide grin in the last pic:

Yup. Paul, I wish you could have been there as another witness and tester
Howie probably needed that extra drop arm lead for the track he raced on, but I don't feel the car needs it.
So no lead was added. The drop arm is plenty heavy enough "as-is" in my opinion.

The American Red i ran the original car on in Atlanta had the bumps in the straight to launch cars. The lead was helpful with that. It sounds like that thing is really working. That is so cool.

The few times we overcooked turns, she would just drift too far. Very planted in the slot.

Be thankful the bumps in the straight weren't as severe as these on a track in the UK
