Cut-off wheels/separating disks, big, with really high edge speed but, just as fragile/thin as the Dremel 409.

I've used GFC 10.540-1,100 pc, 1-1/2 x .025, since the Seventies but they don't appear to be around any more, so, these alternatives:

Mike, thanks for sharing and please keep stuff coming.

This is the stuff from my era of when I got into slots,a lot like these guys and their cars from the 60's.I got my first womp around 92-93 and I was off to the races soon after.I was lucky because the guy that opened our track received a bunch of SARNback issues that I somehow ended up with and I read them 100 times over. They didnt have a ton of tech info in them but what they did have I used to my advantage and became the local hot shot.My buddy and I were the ones to beat and we did it with no budget. The thing we lacked was wing cars and racing but I used to send my dad to tracks in his travels and he'd bring me a chassis or something for helping around the house and thats how I ended up with a Box stock 15 and not long after a int 15 from Zap and Pro Slot.

Having the fastest car at the track and wining a few group 10 racesI really thought I was hot stuff. So I bused it to a big race at Zepplin on NJ Transit.I'm fairly certain you were racing Pro-7 that time.Although to be honest I was too busy getting severely spanked to care about much else at the time.I should have known to pack it in when I had to dip into my bus money home just to get my cars through tech, but I dont take no for a answer much ;) Needless to say I didnt do so well but I learned tons that day that made me a much better racer and while I never won a regional or big race I did extremely well for my limited budget and had a hell of a time.I'd show up to race with 2-3 15A motors against guys with 20 or more.So if I took a few heats it was a win for me.It was kind of weird though because as more money came along from being older the challenge faded some and as most do I drifted off into other things.Well lets face it for most around 18-or so chasing women trumps racing slots ;)

Anyways thanks for letting me take a quick trip down memory lane and I hope that you continue to share. This was a really inovative period for slot cars yet there is so very little information around for this time period.Like the first glory years I think these years also deserve not to be forgotten.
