Mike, you're proposal was not on the ballot. At least not the one that I received via mass email.
But if you didn't send or hand your proposal to Greg, Bill, Marcus, or Ed, didn't attend the October race in Melbourne, and didn't attend the November race at your home raceway in Holly Hill; then how was it supposed to be on the ballot with the other 11 items? It sure looked like there were no restrictions regarding what was proposed.
If you did send it to those guys in person or via email, then you have every right to be steamed and you should take it up with whomever you gave it to.
As you pointed out about your testing ...... Maybe the guidelines are actually helping new racers by requiring them to improve their handling by keeping a 1/8" front and rear bumper. I'm pretty sure most people can measure 1/8" -- or follow the cut line on a Parma or JK body. Getting that body in the right position on the chassis is another story. It's always amazed me how much time racers (me included) will spend trimming a body to try to get if off of the track instead of just punching a new hole for the body clip.
Doc's right. The Series isn't a democracy. Yes, it might be helpful if the Track Owners would spend some time on the message board to see what's going on. But none of these guys have too many posts to their name, so I don't think it's going to suddenly happen. (And, if our Nation didn't have the Electoral College, then Al Gore would have been President in 2000 and Hillary in 2016. There's something to ponder.)
What would be even better is if ALL racers spent more time in their closest raceway talking to the track owner and enjoying a little racing.
Regarding the GTP Enduro class ..... the reason that the Cheetah 21 chassis is used is because it's modeled after a class at P1 Slot Car Raceway in Winter Garden. A few years ago, Dennis and a handful of other racers suggested using this class somewhere in the Series because they had so much fun racing it at Marcus'. All agreed that there wasn't time to add the class in the monthly program, so it became the basis of the Enduro class.
