Curious as to why no reliefs for the rear tires?

 The rears hang off the end. I have one of these and it is slick. I am going to install a few studs to fasten the chassis down to improve repeatability, but it a nice tool.

The original intent was to mount the body without the rear tires on the chassis to keep the body as straight as possible. Then cut out for the tires and tape as needed.

Pretty interesting that there is another approach that works just fine.

 

By the way, I normally just mount one chassis to the fixture with tape and puncture the body pin locations on several bodies. This assumes of course the chassis being used will be the same. I guess we humans assume our methods are normal.

First, a great idea to improve this fixtures use was given to me by Haruki Kan. He wanted longer pins to do D3 F1 cars. Excellent idea. So I sent him longer pins along with his order for another fixture.

With these longer pins it opens up the use for the fixture to include not only the D3 F1 but also 1/32 scale cars.

 

So, if you have already purchased a fixture I am going to send you these longer pins on my dime. They will go out over the next few days. I feel it is the right thing to do to provide a quality product.

 

 

Second note: most of the first 20 units are gone from this batch.

The longer pins went out for each fixture today to all USA buyers. The international buyers require a Customs and Declaration form to be filled out or it will take forever for you to get it.

Those will go out early to mid week.

 

I have another 10 units ready to ship. These will include a set of longer pins at no extra charge. PM me if you are interested.
