Don, it's hard for me to tell if the motor in the car pictured is a 26- D ,as you had referred to in the text or, something else.
Martin, aside from the all the difficulties of a side winder ,such as alignment & gear mesh , how do you like having the motor as a stressed member? (of the chassis).
Also, can you hear any difference in the sound of it if it's over stressed?
A little drift here but, has anyone noticed that... AI spell check has... overridden your words? It's a new phone and, it's probably just me but, I'm glad I took the time to proofread it. PS: it still changed it, this is the edit.
Another thing, I almost fell for the AI 2025 Pinto,Corvair and, Edsel. But when they tried to tell me the Studabaker Lark was being re-introduced, I noticed it was a...Lark😆. You can send me a PM instead of clogging up this thread.😶
