thank you Phil, many of the old winders were pretty secretive about things, to me Bill Steube Sr. was the most open besides Bob Green and of course Bill Ussery as we used to wind on Sunday afternoons at their kitchen table. Not sure why Bill let me get so much info, probably because I shared what I knew and he respected my honesty, don't know. Reedy was friendly but didn't share much. After plowing Zippy's car almost to oblivion during a rear end collision it was all we could do to remain civil so no info there, I did buy a Zimmerman 24 just to look at but never ran it.
