I seldom see a G20 at my raceway, so I can only guess.
Start with 8-38 or 8-39.
If it runs cool, try a 9T pinion.

Thinking about it, you could start with 8-39.
If it's flat in the Bank, and cool running, you might be able to switch to 9-38, without unsoldering the motor.

Thinking about it, you could start with 8-39.

JB Barnett was running very respectable 3.2's in practice today using the Retro Hawk motor at Buena Park raceway. No information on the gearing. Very impressive for a 4.61 length chassis on a fast Gerding track.
