Here's a Dominator built chassis, using the plated wire for the main rails.
He originally hadn't mentioned it on his FB post (NBD), but the chassis caught my eye, especially little things like the solder joint on the down stop tube, soldered in front of the right side of the motor.

Below is a chassis, built by my partner in crime, Chuck Gambo. (among other things, we collaborated on the JK F1 and X25R chassis)
After using my plated .039" wire for the main rails, his comment was "How can anyone use anything else?"
PS - This is a "non-tumbled" chassis.

Regarding plated wire, what are the benefits? Easy to solder? less prone to rusting?
Im keen to try some. I tried a scratchbuild with some K&S paniowire and it was really hard to solder but it looked like it had some sort of coating on it.
I was going to contact a panio tuner to see if they had any wire available.

Standard piano wire like aK&S has a coating you need to sand off before soldering.

Mike Swiss’s wire solders with no prep and doesn’t rust unless you sand off plating.

OK that explains why i had so much trouble soldering the stuff!

And then after soldering, wipe down real well with soapy water.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

Congrats to Dale Yamashita on his Can Am win last Saturday at BP, using C/R plated wire on self-built chassis.
Dale also used a C/R pinned Red Fox guide, a C/R 2 degree guide tongue, and a C/R 1" Versa-bracket.

I put the plating quality to the ultimate tests when I bent this front 1/16 axle for a Thingy chassis
The wheel bores were very tight, even after reaming them and even with regular wire.
I spun the Swiss wire in my drill and sanded it with 400 then 2000 grits.
Got them spinning free. The plating didn't even flinch
But that didn't surprize me. What is really impressed me was it's ability to withstand much more bending, rebending, tweaking with pliers than I care to admit. Again, the plating withstood it all with "shining colors"
To withstand that amount of abuse is amazing. I'll call it a "10" on the "Wolcott Hardness Scale".
Four thumbs up on this product

I just replied to someone's request for the plated wire.
It sums up the status on it, so I'm cut-n-pasting that response, and posting it, below;
The plated wire has really been picked through.
The real straight/primo stuff is long gone.
Unfortunately, it's been a bad time for wire, with getting fairly straight stuff, a toss-up.
All I have of smaller sizes is .047", .055", and .062".
I'm selling it at only 30 cents a foot, so customers aren't disappointed.
I also have .078", if you happen to use that.
60 cents a foot, and it's good.
I'll be doing more in the future, but to make it work, $$$wise, it has to be done with other stuff to plate.
I can't predict exactly when that will be, as all aspects of my business (parties, weighted guides, local racing, distributor sales, regular mail order) have been strong, not affording me the time to design new stuff, to get lasered and plated, plus driving over to K&S, to get in a couple fist fights with my friends over there, making sure if I buy a ton of wire, it's decent.

Ok, update.
The customer that inquired, bought some, and the rest was purchased by a prominent chassis builder, so I am now totally out, until further notice.

It has to be done in conjunction with something else, and this is a crazy month.
Lots of weighted guides to make, 10 parties(in a short month) working on the drag strip, and a couple wing races.
