My goal is to replicate as close to the 1/24 chassis in HO thus having all the classic Era pro angle winders that I like in both classes.

Tried several idler chassis in the 70's - as Tony said a waste of time. Apart from the fact the idler means the motor is now revving the wrong way so you have to mount the motor on the other side of the chassis... and it just did'nt have any handling benefits. On a King it only worked well once in the do-nut.. and so did every other car!
