Hinged pans had just come out at the last Car Model Race on the west coast and by the next race out there which was F1and was right before Atlanta the pin tubing inside tubing was an easy way to get body movement on an F1.

Paul,
Yes, they are the proper ones, once you fit different tires on them and find some screw-on axle reducers.

Looks like:
-no rear axle bushings, just tubes
-non-pent roof brush holders (early Mura), 16D size brushes (not 36D)
-stock can gimbal bushing
Correct?

Paul,
-stock NASCAR can, with the gimball bearing copper retaining ring and the lubricating felt ring pulled out, and the bearing held by white silicone.
-stock Mabuchi FT16D endbell with Mura M1000 copper and brass hardware, no pent-roof brush holder retainers. Shunted FT16D brushes (drilled, lamp wire pushed in). Champion chrome plated brush springs from a "517".
- Russkit axle/motor bracket, 1/8" tubing bearing surface.
Go 4 it!
