Dave, Thanks for the pic of the chassis............Also...........Boy are you folks lucky to be able to have a "Q" like the one in the pic above. Is that you dishin' it out up there?
In Chicago.........You would have to have more permits and 3 temperature dish washing stations then you could shake a stick at. :laugh2:

Please add a pic of the other side of the chassis...........pretty please

Dave, great chassis, and I hope to see you at the track today. Bryan Warmack has come up with a very clever way to adjust the side to side movement, I will show you on mine. It really makes a difference and allows you to tune it to particular tracks.

Do we really have to put up with such an attitude here? It's one thing to disagree but this is taking things to another level, an ugly level. We're all only human and imperfect ones at that. We have to accept the shortcomings of others if we expect them to put up with ours. Button it up, Dave.

You guys need to understand that Dave's been away from home for a long, long time.
he's had to do all his building from deep within the confines of many sorted hotel room across our great state. . .
My friend Dave needs to get back to the warmth and comforts of his own bed, surrounded by the ones he loves.
We miss him up here in the harsh expanses of Northern Califistan. He needs to be hugged and have his hand shaken, and be told how life in NorCal just hasn't been the same since PG&E took our big "Huggie Bear" Vitter away. . . .
As we've read, Dave's chassis is Great and as always... ... ...

AHEM.
Men, children and other Slotblog!'s enthusiasts,

Some posts were edited here as needed so as to conform to the posting rules. Dave, I will be pleased to drive your car just the way it is, curb feelers or not. Now please be kind enough to respect that others MAY also know a bit about building slot car chassis including your best friend Tim who has been incredibly prolific at it in the short time he has been involved with D3, and who has climbed pretty quickly up the ladder. He does a pretty nice job of it too. He has just as big a mouth as you do, that's not such a bad thing, eh? :)

To the others of whom I had to edit the posts, please forgive me for editing your posts. Please understand that I tried my best to simply edit what was in violation of said rules, even if in quotations only.

D3 racing is all about having fun while bringing back the spirit and creativeness of the 1960's days when racers did not buy their 2-bit stamped-steel chassis over the counter because they can no longer solder their way out of a paper bag, but actually engineered and built the thing from raw materials. D3 brings back the very idea of actually BUILDING race cars instead of simply tuning some ugly mongrel from over the counter.

The last thing we need is to have D3 turning into some kind of rivalry between regions and groups of people. D3 is about individuality, not group thinking.

So far, most D3 racers have shared their personal engineering and brainstorms in these pages, so as to help the ones with need for inspiration and craftsmanship.

I am getting a bit flustered at this point by this Zombie thing, as some kind of "Us Vs Them" race, and I do not think that it is healthy for D3. It was set by Jeff Bell in jest, and now is becoming a bit too serious in its meaning. I am not even too happy with all these different rules in all directions, but that is a personal feeling. Let's hope that the fun intended by its organizers returns quickly.
In the meantime, I would like to make things clear:

1/ Dave, PLEASE keep civil with your fellow racers. They are NOT calling you names, are they? So please offer them the same courtesy regardless of the time of day, thank you.

2/ Others, I do understand your reactions, please understand that people with big hearts often react a bit too, uh, frankly to what they perceive sometimes wrongly as personal attacks.

Now let's leave it at that, and I will lock this thread to help cool heads prevail. Please feel free to open a new thread on the subject if you deem it necessary.

Now back to the Pepto-Bismol for me...
