Haruki would be a crowd favorite, but I don't think he'd qualify as 'young blood.'

Good luck and good racing to all there!
Alleged amateur racer.
Mostly just play with lots of cars.
Able to maintain slot cars with a single bound.
Faster than a speeding Womp.

Will there be a convenient spot to tune into posted race results throughout the event? Possibly some streaming, too?

Eddie,
The RP 10 LapMaster 'live timing' link is HERE.
The RP 10 'automated results' link is HERE.
As best I can tell, there is no live stream.
Just hope you can decipher the numerous cryptic names given, such as Big Pete, Don D, Frank B, Richie T, Sammy, Dan W, etc.
I had planned to fully report the RP 10 results here at Slotblog in near real-time, as I have done for many other events I could not attend, especially those that use Carsten's fabulous LapMaster system. I reached out via multiple avenues to request that full names be entered into the computer, but that hasn't occurred so far. I could expand almost half of the names, but that would mean re-typing the results as opposed to using screenshots. If it isn't important to the event organizers to report RP 10 race results fully to respect the time and effort the racers have expended, why should it be important to me?
It's been Slotblog's policy for over a decade that only race results with full names will be allowed here and that policy will remain in place.

Greg, the race director was told three times. FYI he was dismissed as the race director during the first heat of the D Main.

Thanks, Joe.
I'll be watching the results archived from the subsequent races and will commence coverage when full names are being input into the LapMaster system.

Big races should be listed last name first so the rest of the slot car racing world knows who it is. I think we can figure out who the guys from Japan are.

Greg, the Japanese guys only wrote one name on their tech sheets. You come yell at them.
Should be part of the rules, just like the correct motor and tires of a certain minimum diameter. No need to yell.
Remind our Japanese friends that their own history books, and even such modern conveniences like Wikipedia, don't refer to their war heroes as just Isoroku, Mitsuo, or Saburō, but always give their full names: Isoroku Yamamoto, Mitsuo Fuchida, and Saburō Sakai. (Wonder how many reading this will know who these men were without resorting to Google?)
