Mike, I've been seeing your outstanding work on here for a few years. I still enjoy seeing it. Have you been giving lessons to Charlie? His first Jail Door build is almost as good.

Thanks Bill!! Charlie has been building beautiful Retro chasis for a few years. He didn't need any lessons from me but we race together and talk a lot about building.

Looks great Glenn. How strong is the back of the body? You may have to trim behind the wheels more as the back gets sucked into the tires at high speed.

Mike- thanks for the body tips. i did test it last night and two issues: i need weight in the front of the chassis, and the way i wrapped one side of the lead wire actually gets caught under the drop arm, so i will fix that tonight. did not find any issues with the back of the body, but racing conditions will reveal any more issues.
I always assume that during the first race or two with a new car that i will discover some issues that need to be addressed. You will be missed tomorrow, see you hopefully at a NJ race next month.

Thanks again Peter for putting this race together. We all had a great time as we really love these cars! They race perfectly: smooth, quiet, easy to drive and race. Several cars were raced for the first time: both of Lous ( Tony P. Chassis), my Can-Am and Charlies F1 that he just built.
We know that there are more of these jail door cars out there not being raced and we hope that those cars and racers join in for the fun at one of our upcoming races later this year. For me these are my favorite class of cars to race. A perfect mix of both new and vintage.

Sorry I missed it guys For some reason I couldn't sleep ....yesterday morning(?) even with Benadryl, I was up until 7am and woke up at 3 a hot mess. Took a shower and relaxed then went to a friend's to talk. Now I'm wired again...sigh...
