I second Richard's comment that it is always the 8 tooth pinion at Dallas Slot Cars.

Thanks Chris. The track owner also confirmed it. I'm a believer.

Would a 29 crown be legal if it clears .050?

Paul: thanks for the clarification.

My 2 cents worth is that you will probably be OK with a Koford 29, I have run unmodified Parma 29 tooth sometimes and have passed.

But, the PS4002FK has more torques than Retro Hawk, and your customer should be ready to try a 28, in my opinion.

Also, in my experience, the extra torques can generate chatter that you might not find in a chassis with a Retro Hawk.

Koford doesn't make a 29, only 27 and 28.

Cheers

Right, Bill.

Senior moment there. There is a GoFast 29. That's the one I was referring to.

My bet is the 7 tooth is something leftover from when puppydogs were run, and it's an oversight that it was left in.

Johnny VW wins the cookie. The father of RETRO just told me it is 8T, and said:

"The website will be corrected soon. Just a over look."

Are you building a car that will run in RETRO Can-Am now that you know the rules? :)

Yes. But I've raced RETRO before, back in my long-range traveling circus days
