Mark, there are screws thru the ends of the front radius rods that go thru the body into the side rails of the frame to hold the body on.

I'm not clear as to exactly which "screws" you're referring to: photo, perhaps?  :)

Here is how it's (more or less) gonna look:

I was able to salvage the dashboard (steering wheel was missing) and had to cut off the actual "seat" part of that casting and shorten the back of the seat to clear the motor.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna integrate those rear axle "braces" (or whatever they are) into the final assembly; will probably ream out those currently square holes to allow the axle to pass through. Won't mess with that until longer axles show up...

Quick update.

I've got people staying here during this "COVIS-19" thing, so hobby stuff time is at a minimum.

I did manage to get some paint on this project this morning:

Not quite as dark a blue as I'd hoped, but I think it'll be okay once the decals are on and the wheels are painted...

Take care, everyone.

Mark follow the front radius rod to it's back mounting point.   There is a piece of tubing soldered to it there.   A screw goes thru that tubing and thru the body into the upturned side of the brass frame.   That holds the body on.

A question of aesthetics; your opinions are needed.

Which wheel/tire set looks better on this?

#1:

#2:

I personally like the thinner tires in #1, but like the "taller" option in #2...

Thank you; hope everyone here is doing okay.

Yep, agree with you Mark - try to find a rear set that matches the bigger fronts...

Bigger is better. And don't forget to use inserts.

1 looks too skinny.

2 is too much rubber.

I vote for a 1.5  :)

Thanks guys.

I think you may be right Paul; I will look for some slightly thinner rears. I believe Strombecker made some...

I'm not sure how the Strombecker tires handle, but these are the ones for their Lotus open wheeler;

The Lotus is a 60s car, so might be a bit under scale for your Roadster.

Thanks Steve

The Strombeckers on the rear of my car are #8348, and are 11mm or 7/16" wide.

I think maybe 8mm (+/-) would look better...
