Rick, I believe you. Noose's point was that it wasn't a TrueScale Lotus 40 as I'd thought. The customer wants a Lotus 40 R &C legal body, which are a little wider than that. So now I have my chassis built for a slightly narrower body than I wanted.

 

Thanks for the help. Next time I'll double check things that come out of bags - the gremlins have figured out how to use a Sharpie and a stapler  :laugh2:

 

I'm in the process of fixing this...…...

Actually I was surprised when I saw you were using that less than 3" body for the Retro racers. Then I read the "R&C" retro rules and I thought I saw you could stick the tires out past the body so all would be well. I'd be curious what the difference in lap times would be with the chassis 1/8" wider.

 

Anyway, the customer is always right.   :D

Concur 100%. It could be the narrower car may be better on certain tracks. Noose says it actually is legal.

 

But that won't change the fact I goofed and need to fix it  :)

The chassis width is not really affecting the handling as much as the tread width on these cars. :)
