. (later, she did the Exact same thing to my freshly-rebuilt GT-6+!)
And that is, I presume, why she is an EX-GF

that was certainly a part of it (as were things like ducking under the semi), but crazed Val had a lot of other attributes which offset that sort of thing. unfortunately though she had like a split personality (which i can't go into on a family show) and i'd have to leave her alone for a while until she came out of it. after her Europa and my Triumph, she also did the same thing to her 440 six-pack. she never did learn that corner in the rain, which was only about a thousand yards from her house; she thought that she could nail it anywhere.
get this: we used to race to work- one of us would call the other, answer and then we'd go jump in our cars. i did back roads, she'd go up route 35. we'd meet every day at the entrance to the parking lot of the anaconda copper company for the best parking spot, and what came later, etc.
but while we were doing that, i suddenly hooked up with my ex-wife, so i took advantage of her being mad at me at the time and broke up. i never saw her again. but that one turned out to be a lot more trouble in the end!
fortunately my old college roommate and current w1fe (for the last 35 years or so) came along and saved me, so i am indebted to her to this day.
sorry about all the off-topic. but at least i mentioned the Lotus! Lol

No problem Steve, it contains the word "Europa" so it's relevant

thanks Pablo
there's a bimmer guy Rob Siegel (bmwcca) who's been restoring a Europa and occasionally posting his progress. i've always wanted to do that myself. they're just so cool.
i wasn't along for any of the crashes, but i think that i felt worse about losing the Rotus than i was about my Tri-dump, which i never even got to drive. it's still amazing to me that any of us made it out of our wild years. and i'll bet that i'm not alone!
