Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

Isn't that the Canadian guy who designed Mack's esc?
Yes it is….I think that was already posted too.

,.. was something I thought about when first looking at the motors and thought "hmmm, might need some 2mm ID sleeves",.. lol
Not really an 'issue' for myself atm, as am still waiting for my 2mm Koford axles to arrive,.. from,.. 'The Land of the Long White Cloud'
And, annoyingly, I noticed that the Price of the Talon 25 from BOTH of the suppliers I was considering purchasing from in Sydney,.. has gone UP, by 5 to 10 bucks,.. since just last week !!! grrrr

Yes, but Not in Australia !!! LOL
New Zealand seemed more appropriate and far less expensive as far as freight/post is concerned from the US !!!

Thanks Tom,.. yeah,.. that is about what they seem to be priced at,.. NOW,..
When I went searching last week, I found 2 x local outlets that had them for either $85.00 to $89.00 Aus, with the USB Link, for $40.00,.. but both Now are in the same $90 plus as in that ebay link, with the 'link unit being between $45 to $50,... ... with similar postage fees.
Should have been decisive and made my purchase, instead of 'thinking about it',.. lol,.. oh well, such is life,.. thanks for the link though

Stewart,
"Not really an 'issue' for myself atm, as am still waiting for my 2mm Koford axles to arrive,.. from,.. 'The Land of the Long White Cloud' :)"
Oops. You may have to wait a few days. I scored 2 from Gill and emptied his stock
I purchased my Talon 25 and USB programming kit, directly from Castle Creations for $49.95US and $21.95US respectively.
Postage was $20US.
FedEx have just emailed me to say that my parcel should be in my letterbox by 6.00pm tonight

FedEx delivered my goodies at lunchtime today.
I have programmed the ESC and it is now a motor controller.
It awaits mounting into the chassis, but first I need to go buy a couple of 3-pin plugs.
I'm tossing whether or not to install a 1207 into the car instead of the 1204. Gearing will be 13:37.
I will place some 2mm armature spacers onto the shaft this time

Cool, looking forward to hearing of your Exploits.
Do you also have Other 1106 or 1108 motors to try ??
Any 'specific' reason for going with the 12 series motors ??

I have a SunnySky R1103 on its way from China.
After comparing sizes of many motors, I thought that the 12XX might be OK for my local track.
Something to play with and experiment

No need for them Ron, the strength of the magnets will hold the rotor in place especially when the motor is powered up.

I see these brushless motors on lightweight cars but I would like to know if there is one that would work on an H&R chassis.

I have 13xx and 14xx motors in retro Can-am cars that are built with heavy brass chassis’s.
