Show n tell.
Mack is a major force in the UK scene, he showed what's possible n telling them it is real.
The chatter is endless there.
It can't just b me n Tom hyping it up here?
Time will tell, but it's all about $$$ over here.
Seems in UK it's more about sport?

Tom I guess you have a better crystal ball?
You've been hyping the bejesus out of brushless for 2 years and so far only Mike has a brushless car. When does your crystal ball say brushless is going to take off in the US?

Zip I don't doubt brushless will have at least some success in countries that have flat tracks like NZ. I just don't think it's going to happen here in the land of banked tracks.

Actually Phil the Talon works better on the banked tracks….more flat out speed without as much braking for corners.
There are more brushless powered cars here in the States being tested than you know of Phil. Not just Mike L and me.

Lemme wipe it off so you can see it Phil.

Yes it can.
If it's about money and participation, there's apparently as much interest in brushless as there is in a KofordM196-E24-300 1/24 Eurosport motor with small OD can, .300 stack .480 84 arm, 24 mag 450 tall set up and 1.5mm arm shaft. $402.39 ea. or a KofordM196-20-G7 20 mag CNC open motor with 84 SAW arm. $438.86 ea. and you need at least couple of those to race and another for practice.
Hey, the more marginal it is, the more slot car racers line up to buy in.
Marginal and cheap, what's not to like?

You just beat me to posting that. That guy has been working on developing brushless slot cars since late 2015. Who knew that people have been working on this for so long?

Hey guys,.. whilst I am unsure whether there is Anyone else in Aus' currently with any cars or with an Interest in Testing / trying etc,.. I have purchased a few Emax motors, both 1106 and 1108 versions in both 4500 & 6000 versions and am currently waiting on some Koford 2mm axles to arrive.
Have been chatting with my good racing buddy Mark Fox about it and visited Wayne Bramble today to have a bit of a chat and show him the motors etc.
I think even though you kinda Know these motors ARE Small, it is not until you actually See and hold one in your hand that Appreciate Just how TINY they really are !!
Sadly, there is ONLY One available track to do any testing in Greater Sydney at the moment, (since HSC closed), but am hoping to purchase a couple of Talon 25 units and appropriate USB unit, to create a couple of Test setups.
One for myself and one for Wayne as I think he intends to build up a car for an Older Racer & Ex track owner who has returned to the Hobby and is racing at a new facility near the Queensland border run by Kim Axton.
Hopefully both of us can do some 'on track' testing at SSME when we attend some of the scheduled events and both Wayne and my Friend Mark will be heading to Kim's track for an Easter Race event, so could do some On Track running up there with both Cars/setups.
Will try to 'post' some pics or at worst, report back on how things go / develop

Here's an interesting blog from the guy that designed the slot car ESC. Just waiting on stm32g071gbu chips to build them. Might be a LONG wait.
