Thanks Isaac At first I thought this body was too low and too short to make a good slot car. I was wrong, all the parts fit well under it and she drives real nice Never could have pulled it off without the inspiration of my friends

Thanks Phil
Tim, I don't know how you can consider this car, or any others I have built, a "museum piece" when I track test all my builds to very high standards before they are delivered. The Chaparral 2H was tested on a 130' flat track (see my posts #54 and 57) and it hauls beans. It doesn't belong in a museum - it belongs on a track. If the owner puts it on a shelf or a museum, that's his business, not mine.
This is a "museum piece" :

Car owner track tested it, here is what he said:
"Ran the Chaparral this morning and it's seriously fast. The track hadn't been treated so it was drifting on the corners but incredibly quick on the straights".
Music to my ears. A bit of rear drift (as opposed to tilting out) is fine for a vintage car like that

Here is the video. On a longer track with more grip no telling what it would do

It was meant as a compliment!? Sorry you were offended.

No problem, Tim Just making sure people don't consider me a "shelf queen" builder.

I have to disagree with you on this Paul. If anyone has any shelf queens that are cluttering up their shelves, I have plenty of shelf space. Please send them my way. I'll pay postage.
