The correct answer is: look at the two on the left again.
Inspired by Chevrolet's Monza GT concept car of 1962, Hall first designed a closed body for the '2', as the car was known. For various reasons that design was discarded and replaced by a simpler Roadster body.

The answer is ,they were both conceived by Frank Winchell.
The Monza GT evolved into the Chaparral and also, the Opel GT.

I was at the Daytona 24 hr in 1966 saw the 2D coupe, it DNF'd because the rack and pinion steering gear seized up and became uncontrollable. Months later the the coupe at Sebring was different, no wing on the back. Word around the pits is that could be a proto for the Corvette. It was going to be, sadly.
