I'm not attending the Fall Brawl this year, and wish that were not the case. But as many retirees learn, you get busier when retired than when you were working.
Jay Guard and I have traveled to so many races over the last fifteen years or so, and it hurts me that it has largely come to an end for various reasons, some physical and some simply because I have so much other stuff going on.
Jay called a week or so ago and said, "You're going to have a house guest next Sunday night. "Who," I asked? "Brian Ambrose, who is traveling with me to the Fall Brawl." Jay's daughter, Silke, lives a less than a half mile away, but cannot accommodate two overnight visitors, so I will happily let Brian stay here for the night.
We had a fabulous meal at the best Chinese restaurant in Georgia last night (and according one source, the second best restaurant in Georgia), and they headed up I-85 this morning a few mintutes after 7 AM.
As I post this, they're probably about an hour and a half from arriving in Mt. Holly. Jay's having problems with something that has bedeviled me recently, sciatica, so be nice to him please.
I am going to try to report the Fall Brawl here at Slotblog remotely, largely using the LapMaster automated results posts. Hopefully, the guys at SpeedZone have fixed the programming issues that have have been a problem the last few years for the races that have move-ups. I guess will see if that continues.
Looking forward to seeing how all my good friends do at Fall Brawl XIV. I seriously wish I could be there.

I'll be there Thursday to Sunday and I'll bring my camera along with me and take some pictures. I know people like the box tours so I'll have those pictures also.
