Dubro actually tells you not to use it on harden steel but I've been using mine on piano wire for years and it's still doing fine.

Good to hear that Larry. I have one of those steel K&S(?) units that you hold in a vise, but don't use it much. I think it came from Micro Mark.

Received the DuBro bender yesterday. I'm impressed. In the process of ordering one of Rick's also. The DuBro makes perfect sharp bends but I'd like the ability to make curved also.
A final note,I purchased the bender with .063 &.072 dies. The bending pliers I previously purchased will go to. 047, but will bend 052. Funny, the Dubro dies jump from. 047 to .063 .
Billnh, it saddens me to say that the largest hobby shop in my area closed Unbeknownst to me. Walt's Hobby has been around since the mid 70's. Now I'm stuck with a train and hobby that only knows trains, and barely. With Michael's and, as a last resort Snobby Lobby .
Oh drat,it just dawned on me that it's the dreaded pumpkin spice time of year again.

Someplace on here is a jig for bending those curved corners made by either Steve Okeefe or dc-65x, or both. It might have been just for bending brass rod.
