That guy is selling more Lancer/REH molds on eBay again!! While I'm not the guy to buy and or pull bodies from these molds, someone is. In the past I've seen these go for 4 figures.

My question is will whoever (whomever?) ends up winning the bids pull bodies from them? Can the molds be used after all these years? Where can I get a pull of the Chaparral 2G and the T70 Mk IIIB GT on bid right now??? These production bodies/molds are a rare piece of slot car boom history and it would be a shame to see them continue to sit on a different shelf this time around.

I want a Lola T70 Mk 3 spyder too! The '67 model with the newer nose... I can dream, can't I?

Some, not all have been bought by Scott (Skull) Macleod (Booth bodies) so will be available.

Yep, the Lancer Lotus-Porsche, or Porsche-Lotus, actually a fairly common body to find on ebay.

I've found 3 or 4 over the years, plus a couple cars made with that body, as shown below - a pretty rare example of a magwinder road-racing car.

To new for me, so I do not recognize it. I do see it looks like it has its rear fenders partially missing?

Lot #112 looks like an '80's GTP.  The front louvers and rear air scoop look like the rear-engined Ford Probe, but not everything matches.

Found it, thanks. I still got suckered in for 45 minutes of mindlessly scrolling the listings.

Scott MacLeod has had Booth body molds (some or all?) for a few years. I never heard if he sells bodies direct or through the slot car distributor network. The MacLeod Western/Booth Machine & Hobbies website indicates each body is $20. I didn't notice material thickness or type used indicated. Perhaps someone on here has purchased some & can provide more info.

Sorry, the bodies are a hobby,  ebay just makes it easy to manage and track what I have to ship out. I am open if someone wants to step in as a distributor and help  but other wise with how busy I am on my regular jobs, Phd pursuit and kids I lose track on what to ship.If there are certain cars you want let me know. I would  be glad to run and then post them up on ebay. On bodies while I did not win all the molds I picked up over 70 of the Lancer molds and Booth Machine and Hobbies has over 800 from its own inventory from International, Classic,  Russkit, Auto Hobbies, M.A.C. Riggen , Pactra Harmon and others.

Hi Scott,

Sorry if I missed this info but could you please tell me what material and material thickness you are using?

Thanks in advance,

Rick

I am using .020 lexan. I stopped pulling .040 PETG because it was tough on the molds. I am running some bodies off this weekend and will put another up when it is ran. If anyone is interested in HO I will run some lancer HO molds and list them.

$611.99 for the Lotus turbine. That's $400.00 higher than my bid. I wonder if a slot car fanatic bought it or a Lotus fanatic?

What's the difference between a slot car fanatic & a Lotus fanatic? A fanatic is a fanatic, regardless of the adjectives you used. One might have had deeper pockets than the other.  :laugh2:

You could ask Scott Macleod if he won it. Do you know if anyone else is pulling bodies off vintage molds? Tom Andersen of Fort Wayne did pull a few but he disappeared 5 or 6 years ago.

Roger Schmitt has fairly recently uncovered some late 60's moulds in Parmas archives including Russkit 1968 issue McLaren M6, McKee Olds (Cro Sal), Elfin, Lola T70 mkIII Coupe & Dune buggy, which were supposed to being re-pulled but I haven't heard any more, its been a year or more now.
