Racers, if you change your trigger from my standard curved to a flat or 2 finger version you need to take certain care in doing so. A racer sent me the picture below and said he was having issues with getting power on the wiper bands. After looking at the picture I could see there was a slight shadow from the copper ring onto the trigger surface at the ball bearing. My transistor signal from the wiper button is transmitted through the copper ring then ball bearings and trigger pin to the circuit on the reverse side of the frame. The racer correctly seated the ball bearings flush with the copper ring and the trigger face and the issue was repaired.
Since my ball bearings have an extended inner race you also need to take care to only press on the perimeter of the ball bearings to seat them flush in the trigger. Pressing on the middle of the bearing may damage the ball bearing. Also, when adding the adjustment nut slowly rotate it while gently pressing on the screw with the red washer to feel for trigger clearance and remove all the side play from the bearings. This will keep the pressure on the wiper button consistent without any chance of it lifting and loosing contact.
