Have heard this bearing motor has been improved, true?

Not sure, most everyone in these parts is running Mid-america Enforcers in Group F.

Don't quote me, but I think JK may be in process of updating the dual bearing motor if Jim hasn't already. 

 

You can try messaging Jim here or on FB.  I know the Hawk 7 # JK30307 was updated just before November last year.

JK has a customer service phone number on their website. I race at Jims (owner of JK) track, the H7 bearing motors were updated shortly after the bushing motors. We race the motors weekly and Ive seen guys using both versions of the updated H7 without issue.

Aaron are they fast? Any two speed issues?

Am I seeing things or has anyone else noticed that the com rotates independent of the stack? I'm referring to the JK's with a bazillion r's & 7's.

Mark, the new and old H7 motors are the same speed, but the new version is more reliable without the two speed issues. Theres no speed difference between the bushing or bearing versions. Personally, Ive only run the bushing motors and of the 10 to 15 Ive purchased only one had an issue with a can bushing failing after one race. The others were all as expected with many races on each.

Aaron, we run a B-52 motor that is 50k and after extensive testing the bearing motor is definitely faster than the bushing motor

How could the comm rotate?

 

It could possibly rock back and forth a tiny bit but if it really rotated, it would break the wires wrapped around the stack.

The com stays in place and the stack rotates until the wires are in tension. I'll admit, I might have that backwards. But, it could alternate. It only seems to be on JK motors I listed. It shows up after a couple of races.

Use a drop of superglue to secure the comm in place. That's what we used to do after heating oriental 16D arms to loosen the comms for re-timing.
