Hi,  does someone here have a recommendation for tires for the rear wheels as found on the Cox Cheetahracha,

Thanks, Dan

Check with the usual suspects for urethanes: slotcarstyres in France; Paul Gage in Canada (via ebay) and MIchael Ortmann in Germany (via RSSlotracing in UK or directly if he has a site).

I did have a pair that I passed on to a friend, but can't remember where I got them. If not, get a pair with the right width and cut down to right diameter: about 7/8" / 23mm.

It's been a crapshoot on what fits what. If you look, there's plenty of threads on this. I think it's like betting the house on RED.I did however, purchase a tyer corer from ReGo. Haven't received it yet but it seems like a good idea

My recommendation is just use foam donuts. They can be trimmed to whatever size you want.

Whether or not this may satisfy you wanting to have the same tires as they came with, I can't answer.

I know the La Cucaracha came with foam tires. But I know nothing about Cheetarachas (SP?)

They had foam tires too; didn't really think about that because urethane is the automatic reaction here... He should be able to find donuts somewhere.

Paul Gage has a specific urethane tyre listed for the cucaracha/cheetaracha/2E rear wheels and it works very well, it is available in black or grey. IMG_1107.jpeg
