Both are nice racing videos Rich! Do these jalopies still use the "Econo  Chassis" originally designed by Bob about 20 years ago? Are these chassis still mostly .093 brass or are some made of thinner brass with additional weight added?

Bill,

The Econo Classes feature a simple chassis design. The side pans "rattle" from side to side on the center pan. The rear wheels are about 1" in diameter while the fronts are smaller. Chassis are scratch built, in-line.

The chassis for the Jalopy class may be more sophisticated (hinged).  First, the class allows .790 rears and o-ring fronts. Some rides are built with the more sophisticated chassis while some use the "rattle" concept with the smaller wheels

I do run a similar class at Electron called Early Modified using the Econo chassis because I like the more realistic look.  Attached is an image of an Econo chassis and the Early Mod body
