Hello, can someone tell me if the boxed IFC series Cox cars might have come with a dark anodised chassis and not the 'standard' aluminum-coloured part? I have an original box kit checked off for the Cheetah (Cheetahracha) and might need a new chassis.

It's my understanding that black anodized chassis were only sold as separate units. I bought one in 1967 or 68. It also include the Cox adapters that fit the Mabuchi 26D cans. I don't recall them being used on any RTR Cox cars.

That's correct, Bill. I have made reproduction 26D brass clips with adapters for this IFC chassis.
