I am reaching out to all the slotcar historians here. My memory is telling me the following, please help me sort out those very old brain cells.
If I recall, in the late 1960s I rode from Connecticut to what my memory told me was The Slot Shop in Elyria, Ohio, for a Car Model race hosted by Paul and Donna Hubbel. I remember racing on a six-lane track with a reverse camber donut, but after checking with Jan Limpach he said there was never a six-lane track there. I think I made the trip with Russ Boyington and Walt LaBree, but that part is even more fuzzy.
Just for my own curiosity, does anyone remember a track like that? Probably in the Mid-west, possibly Northeast, as those are the only areas I traveled to back then. Anyone have any thoughts? I know for sure that I met the Hubbels at least once, Donna gave me some Pepto because I had "the sh!ts." LOL.
