John, wouldn't it be easier to set up a drop arm Retro chassis?

 

When he lived in California, I recall Greg Gilbert running some competitive drop arm Retro chassis built by Dennis 'Foamy' Hill at Buena Park.

Perhaps Foamy had more experience building them than Rick did. I realize Rick was a Midwest hero.

1) cut down guide
2)weighted guide *
3) guide depth block
* rember the Slick7 lightened guide?
