Santa has been good to me this year.
I am so lucky as to have been gifter, not one, but two Policar track sets.
The T003z and the T004z.

But even I, did not know that within these two sets alone, a mini "Blue King" track was hidden.

 

Don't underestimate the popularity of "Blue King" tracks.
I posted the first lap on facebook:

and in less than 24 hours it got +24K views.

 

It was setup to test out a few track options, but there is no way back.
This is the one I am going to setup in the garage.

nice what is the overall size?

This is how it ended up looking in the garage.
 

Each lane is 15.85 meter in length.
Footprint of track: 4.25 x 2.5 meters

Rigged for both Analog and Digital racing.
(More lane-changers to be added)

Is the track meant for 1/32 scale or can you run 1/24 scale cars on the Policar Track also?

Seems to always come back to a king or hill climb doesn't it? With the exception of the 4 lane on the Riggen catalog.
I could be wrong but isn't that a pinched king?

I'd call it an American Black "Regal" track which is essentially a shortened and flat King.

Policar is intended for 1/32 racing, but smaller 1/24 can fit. Policar is the same width as NINCO, if you're at all familiar with that track.

The lane spacing of PoliCar track is 89 mm to be exact.

I intend to run both 1:32 scale, and the BRM 1:24 scale (Group 2 and Mini cars) that are popular with our club.

BRM Racing legend or faster cars like those with stamped-steel chassis though are not really compatible with this track.

 

However, after more than 60 years of 1:24 scale racing, I have found a new love with the 1:32 scale NSR cars after I participated in the 24-hour WRE in Naples, Italy twice, (4 x 8-lane Policar track)

 

I am also becomming very good friends with the oXigen digital racing system.
So my track is not only equiped with my LapMaster system, but also with my new creation, the LapMasterDigital software.
Intented to bring the same level of professionalisme as LapMaster into the Digital racing world.

For pure entertainment pleasure and realistic details 1/32 is it. Don't get me wrong ,1/24 is the only one for competition racing.
It's probably just me but I have issues with 1/24 hard bodies and most 1/32 vacuum formed bodies. The detail on 1/32 hard bodies is more realistic. I've raced 1/32 on commercial tracks and, seems like the cars were out of place. Scenery is a no no on commercial tracks but for a home track, it gives you a relaxing way to loose track of time completely.
