Looks like they just jam the endbells on with the brush tabs forced over the commutators.
Was there any testing until he motors were completely assembled? I expected to see a reject pile of about 20% or did I miss that part?
I worked in a place that made lots of alternators and motors but none that small. At one time we wound windshield washer pump motors. When I was a kid I tried to make them work in a slot car. They were about the size of the Globe motor. Plenty of torque but no rpm.
