When I drove down to DC in '79, I took my wing cars with me so I could stop at Elmsford on the way back. They were beneath the bowling alley in those days. I did get to play on the Nuvolari for a half hour. My cars ran good but weren't impressive. They might have been 27s, because that's what I raced at the Lowell 'Y' in those days.

So, does anybody know who the winners were at this event? I was out of slots at this time in history.

Paul Pfeiffer won Group 7, Andy Wasserman won Group 27, according to Google.
It's weird being the same age as Old People.

I'm pretty sure either locals Dick Depaso or Fred Forte, won Semi-Pro.
I was in the Main and finished 5th or 6th.
In Int. 15, Dave Borntrager beat out Raisin, for the win.
I spent the race with Dave, in a motorhome with a non-working shower, occasionally tuning myself up in the bowling alley bathroom upstairs.
Our traveling partners,Tony Citro, Stu Koford and Jerry Kulich all bailed to sleep on rollout beds in other racers rooms.
That was the closest I ever had to growing a beard.
