Future Restoration
Can anybody tell me more about this Magnesium chassis dragster?
I will restore it soon, but would like to know more about it.
The side rails are stamped NOT hand cut. So there has been tooling made at some point.
Has anybody seen one with the same pattern?

I built a number of magnesium chassis. I don't recall ever seeing a stamped one.

To answer your question, first carefully disassemble the car. I would simply use very light sandpaper, maybe 400 grit, to polish the entire chassis. I would routinely do this to my dragsters. Do the same with the motor (Pittman? Ram?) and I would add ball bearings and of course an Armature!
