There are a lot of D-type and XK-SS replicas out there. This one looks pretty good, but I would reserve my judgement until I could get oup close in real life. I had a chance to drive the Lynx version, but not on a track.

I had a chance to buy an XK-SS project car in the early 1980's, but my offer was beat out by a secret bidder. Never found out what happened to it.

David Gilmore and Nick Mason used to race each other in these for fun. Of course, unlike most humans, they could afford the real thing. Or were they C types?

I don't recall that Gilmore had either, while Mason had, or should I say, has, both. I have the Nick Mason book on his car collection.

What is interesting is that one of Nick's prized cars is a Ford Model T. Totally unrestored.
