I am looking to buy a new or used Dewalt gyroscopic screwdriver. It has been discontinued and it is my favorite screwdriver for my handles and other light duty applications for my controllers. I have plenty of batteries and chargers so if they are missing, that is fine. 

 

If your mom and pop hardware store has a dusty one I will buy it from you or if you have one you will part with please email me. It must be the gyro version with the adjustable torque settings. Yes, I checked Amazon and eBay and they want to rip you off on the price.

there are plenty of screwdriver brands out there, I want the gyroscopic affect. You just turn your wrist a little to choose if you are loosening or tightening the screw. This is really handy when adding the top screws into the hex standoffs on my handles to back off let the screw drop into the correct thread and then tighten without changing my grip on the driver or pressing the reverse then forward lever. I am doing production work here so time is money. 

 

I had 3 of these then one died last year and another just bit the dust a couple months ago.

Maybe you can get someone to rewind one of them for you. Some new brushes and shunt wires too!

How did you get this link as I do not see the screwdriver pop up on the Costco website.

Jim, what's the Plan B for when you can't get this device any longer?

 

Perhaps another company makes it outside of USA, perhaps Bosch in Germany or something like that. Or this Parkside is similar...

This is the model I have of the gyro screwdriver. It is the straight one, doesn't have the angle handle like you one you showed. But it is a gyro. PM if your interested.

Ken, I will look that model up and get back to you. I do not see any torque ring which is important as I also use it to tighten the small 2-56 screw for my trigger pivot. Thanks for the offer and the effort.

Oh... also MC has "push to start"  corded electric screwdrivers. Japanese made that have adjustable torque settings. Sit down for the price though....

Phil, thanks but I am trying to find the Dewalt because it has the Gyroscopic affect with no need to push a different button to switch from backwards to forwards, just a simple turn of my wrist. Plus I have many batteries for this model as well. 

 

I have a couple of corded electric screwdrivers with precise torque settings that we use that were under $200 and are excellent. I also use a few Metabo brand battery screwdrivers for applications when I need more torque. 

 

I might post an ad on Craigslist and see if anything pops up. Sorry, I did not mean to take over the controller forum with my search for a screwdriver. I think I can survive if I do not find one.
