The rain was falling -- pretty hard, I might add -- as we raced at The Doghouse on this Saturday.
We chose to run our JK Indy Cars because they handle great, they're really quick, and we always have a blast with them. This day was no exception. Despite the bad weather, we had a great turnout of racers:
(Front row: Jay Pittman, Marty "Dr. C" Cwiakala, Eric Prevost, and Jim Beasley
Back row: David Erickson, Richard Sylvester, Bob Arneson, Dan Parker, and Bob "Dr. Bob" Feller)
Although we expected this race to likely be the last time that Marty would be able to join us, it appears we might have a temporary reprieve as his move to Austin, Tex. has been delayed a few weeks. So we hope to have more opportunities to verbally abuse him and enjoy his company.
Again, the cars were the JK Indy chassis with wide bodies:
All nine entries were fast, and we racked up a lot of laps. When it was all said and done, our Doghouse proprietor, Richard Sylvester, proved to have the fastest car in the bunch.
We expect to run another race in June, but the weapon of choice has not yet been determined. Stay tuned.
