I hate to dissappoint you Nelson, but there isn't a problem.
You are most likely referring to how the Brumos Porsche comes up the track on two different lanes.
It's actually a feature of that 1/43 Cox race set. The ability for either car to run on any lane.
I was still working for a retail hobby when those sets came out.
I didn’t remember that exact feature, but I did spot that the crossover track wasn't your traditional X only design.
IIRC, I've read fairly recently PDL designed the cars.

Great movie! No worries there. Looks like a usual weekly race. It's a wonder they were't racing Zambonis.
