Just a quick heads up here concerning the upcoming Western States SCRRA Retro Coupe race at Piranha and legal bodies.

At our last monthly race on the Flat track this body was allowed to run even though it is clearly illegal for being too distorted and too slammed as we're pretty lenient at the monthly races. It appears to be some type of Chevron B16 similar to the legal Outisight Chevron 420. If there are others out there or similar slammed and distorted bodies they will NOT be allowed to run in next week's Western States Retro Coupe race.

Unfortunately, the list of legal SCRRA Coupe bodies with pictures was lost on the internet a while back and could never be retrieved and was never replaced.

In general most racers are using some form of this Parma Lola T-70 Coupe and all are legal as long as they are not too thin, not too distorted or slammed and not over 3 3/16" wide and not over 6 3/4" long.

We're still trying to hold some standards with realistic looking bodies for the Retro races.  Many bodies are acceptable with many versions of the Lola Coupe, Ferrari 330, Mirage, Chevron, etc.being OK.

If in doubt of a body's legality make sure you have a legal body ready to go or send me a PM with a pic and I'll get back to you.  :)

I don't know, I always thought the Parma Lola coupe was very distorted, especially compared to the earlier JK version. A very long nose, abbreviated cockpit, and an engine that apparently sits right on top of the rear axle. Unfortunately, the JK Lola has been messed with too, and not in a good way.

It's weird being the same age as Old People.
