Another well-known vendor in the hobby has left us.

Edward J. Sourbeck of Grand Rapids, MI, for many years the proprietor of EJ's Hobbies in the same city, passed away on March 29, 2026.

No obituary has been located. The EJ's Hobbies website is no longer online.

What a character Ed was. He loved his hobby and was always willing to share a story or two, maybe three. I will miss our chats.

RIP, Ed.

This is sad. So many stories... I never got to meet the man.

Anyone know what happens next with his store and inventory?

We'll likely never find out.

I've still not heard what happened to the massive REHCo inventory after it was closed down.
