Can-Am on the King – 7/7/26
Can-Am on the King was the order of business in the MVH Tuesday Night Retro Series this past week. An even dozen drivers showed up to race the middle six lanes.
John Weaver, Noah Ball, and Cody Pare’ were all turning laps in the high 3 second range with Woody Hazelwood and Ray Lee in the mix with 4.0 second fast laps. When time ran out, Weaver had 264 laps on the counter and took the win by six laps over Noah. Woody, Ray and Cody all ended up with 254 laps with Woody leading the trio to take the bottom podium step by thirteen track sections over Ray while Cody finished another ten sections back.
Rick Pare’ was the “best of the rest”, taking sixth with 240 laps, five laps up on Joe Yates in seventh. John Mills was the fastest of the group, with a 4.156 on orange, but ended up in eighth place, two laps behind Joe, while Richard Payne trailed by less than a lap in ninth. Rolly Lapierre Jr. and Peter Lentros closed out the field while Nick Ball dropped out early in the third heat.
In addition to the win, Weaver posted the fastest lap with a 3.899 on green, Noah had a 3.941 on orange and Cody ran a 3.977 on green as three drivers broke the 4-second barrier.
