Today is Fools Paradise Day. Originally dedicated to those who seem to always be up against life's problems. I know that we already have a dedicated day, April first, but it's nice to have another one. After all, I am a Scot, one of a very few nationalities that doesn't have a "day". Or week, or month for that matter. Today, we are supposed to throw all caution to the wind, and accept whatever happens to us.

Back about thirty years ago, the St. Andrew's Society tried to get Congress to dedicate April 6th as Ambroth Day. The day the Scots declared independence from England. But no, they couldn't do that. They had to declare it Tartan Day, and include the Irish. They already have a day. The Scots contributed more to American industry than the Irish. Why can't we have our own day. Oh well. I guess I should be happy there is any day I can fit into. Let alone two. As Colonel Saito said, "be happy in your work".
