Get em out, dust em off, tune em up and let's go racing. It's almost time for our third season of Retro racing in the Ohio Valley. We've made a few changes this year, we've replaced the Flexi GT class with the GT Coupe class and we are having concours judging this year. Our first race is September 19th at Tom Thumb in Columbus, Ohio. If time allows we will race all four classes (F1, Can Am, JK Spec and GT Coupe in that order) but if history repeats itself we probably won't have time for GT Coupe because of the large turn-out we usually have at the Columbus race.
I'm happy to report that JK is back on board with great prizes for the JK Spec class and Ron Hershman has graciously agreed to donate prizes for our concours events. In the concours we will be doing it like SERRA does theirs, we will award a prize for most realistic looking body and one for best looking body. All participating drivers in each class will vote for the winners but you can't vote for your own car.
So put it on your calendar "September 19th" in Columbus, Ohio. I'll be posting the starting times in a few days.
C'ya soon
Let's go racing

Hi Garry,
I just sent off an email to Malcolm to find out when he will be open and to get directions to his house. I'll get the information posted as soon as I hear back from him. He told me he's been getting home at about 7pm every night, they're moving the plant where he works, it will be late tonight or tomorrow before I know anything.
I also want to thank you for posting the race report and pictures. It's kind of a pain, isn't it?
