Hi,

A friend asked me if I wanted to buy these motors.

What brand motors are these? And are these motors very old?

I think the black one is a BOW motor and the one to the right is a Fox but the one in center I don't know. Can someone tell me what it is?

Joakin,

The left and right motors are made by Red Fox in Brazil, though they were probably marketed as a Kelly set-ups, the Black Max and the Silver Bullet.

The motor in the middle is similar to a Koford or Camen, but I'm not really certain it is either one.

OK, are these motors worth racing with?

My friend said that they have not been run very much, just some test drives. I trust the guy... some of the arms in the motors are new, just tested on the track.

My plan was too have three-four good motors and I already have two older Camen motors which are not bad at all, so these will fit me perfectly.

Joakim,

Yeah, they should do just fine. They're not the latest and greatest, but a lot of folks still run the Kelly/Red Fox set-ups for C-cans over here.

Maybe? It depends on the track, power supply, body, frame, tires, glue, driver, etc.

The X12 motors are probably the most "changeable" motor in slots. The 12 motors seem to respond to different cans, magnets, and arms the most. With reasonably low cost and usually a long life, it's a lot of fun to find just the right combos for a specific track with some pretty fast cars.

Hi we hawe 2-3 tracks that we drive on most of the time our track and a track in a town called skellefteƄ is q simular,so we can use allmost the same setup
in ohur cars
the third track is smaler, more of a big saloon car track the biggest we drive on that track is box12 cars in that track we must do some cange in the cars...
but i think its easyest to take my kidds g15 chassie and use it on the small track...they are heawier than our box12 chassis and runs softer on the track

i think i will by thes engins ..as a start they will do

bdw if i hawe 510 arms is it worth it to rebuild thes to 518 later on or should i go for 540 instead...
the goal was to build one or to 540 c-can engin later on and i can probably use thes cans for the engins

It all depends on what type of cars your putting the motors in, in the usra wing cars are only allowed to run .513-.518 diameter arms (box 12) but in the scale cars they run anything from .513-.540 diameter arms, It all depends on the rules you guys run and what you like. I say stick with the koford .518 x 12 arms that are in the motors right now and to answer your question the middle motor is a camen setup the two outer are red fox setups and all look to have koford arms.

The one in the middle is a B52, also out of Brazil, from Jose Mario Serra.
