I saw that on TV....a few people narrowly avoided by crushed by that car. Bet they won't allow anyone to stand there next year.

John, I guess a lot will depend on who's driving the first stint.....there are the "usual suspects"

Like the Super Bowl lets have some side bets going on.

How long into the race until some one yells, "God Damn It, Vinny!"?

What heat will the first car get wall-blasted into the deadman?

How many times will JJ completely obscure the deadman causing the race to be red flagged until he moves?

How long into the race until one team is being accused of cheating?

Who will be the first driver to accidentally relieve themselves at the drivers panel?

Who will be the first driver to purposely relieve themselves at the drivers panel.

How many times will Gorski ask, "Who has the fastest lap?"

What marshal be be the first threatened to get the crap beat out of them?

How many times will the words be uttered, "These cars suck?"

Tony,

Are you kidding? We usually do about 90% of your list during the one minute warm-up lap.

Of course track call are allowed because if you read the very first post we are running under IRRA™ rules. Our normal track calls at SpeedZone will be in place.

Now to Tony's list.

How long will it take Ray to hook up his controller wrong with his Controller Buddy? Better yet, will Katz even give it to him?

How long will it take for a marshal to nod off?

Will Vinny be on time?

Will Wes realize he only has to be the cut man for his team?

Tony,

Don't forget...

Who will be the first to hook up their controller wrong?

Who will get the first Charlie Horse?

Who will blow the first Pro Slot?

Who will be the first person to wallblast a car when it's in their lane and the other team is yelling, "Black, let up, let up, Black let..."? :shok:

I see Noose said there are track calls... oh well.

Who's race directing?

Since Team's Streisguth's Crew Chief will be riding with me and I am sure there will be some skullduggery along the way, perhaps I should have a police escort to safeguard the cars.

Watch out, Craven said he is racing and will go side by side through the bank with anyone and everyone. May the chips fall where they may..

In Memory of Jim Dameral's Elmsford 12 hour Enduro antics like running real car high beam elements and lighting up the whole race way.

Someone must at the 3 hour mark yell out at the top of their lungs, "I don't have it". of course this will be more effective if followed by a wall shaking crashing noise.

Also when anyone walls their car you must yell out "Kallio Fix It!". Not sure these will mean anything to anyone else but it will keep me amused. Rob Kurylo will get the first one and any one who pro raced with Jim will get the second.

We've heard from him. He' s prob'ly decided he's shut himself out of this hobby, and has gone off elsewhere; and attempts at persuasion to the contrary haven't got very far.

Craven didn't get real substantial training on Life, which wasn't his fault; and now he's unprepared to deal with Life, which arguably may not be his fault too, depending on how long it takes for him to just by damn wake up and start surviving like we all must do. Meanwhile, wish him well and be glad you and yours are (provisionally) better-equipped.

regrettable it will be necessary to limit our conversation to those`s topics other than SLOT CAR RACING for fear that team statergy or other secrets ( most notable tire press, stagger, fuel, wing setting, driver rotation, etc.) could be gleamed. This will no doubt be a very BORING 70 minute ride. But with victory almost certain the ride home should be Interesting. Good luck to all racers.

I'm driving in alone.

Whiling away the lonely miles listening to Charlie Musselwhite CDs, or maybe perfecting my Billie Holliday impression.
