Grant did an excellent job running tech as he always does, and doing all the other thankless duties that are required to make races like this happen! There were only minor issues in tech such as tire diameter, spoiler heights, etc. So thanks to everyone for having their cars ready to go!
It seemed as there was a good mix of Puppy Dogs and Retro Hawks, but the Puppy Dogs got the majority of the podium spots in GT Coupe, Can-Am, and F1. The PDs seemed to be a good mix of Fast Ones, Pro Slots, and "bag" motors.
Thank you to the Viper Pit owners and staff. They have a great facility for racing and are always willing to do what it takes to make the race as enjoyable as it can be. The tracks were smooth and fast as always, and despite the outside temperatures being in the 90s it was nice in cool all weekend inside. Owner Aaron Scott bought everyone lunch on Friday, and even took racers for rides all weekend in his 427 Cobra, and allowed anyone to swim in his personal pool!
Thank you to all the class sponsors: Slotblog, Noose Custom Painting, Chicagoland Raceway, Fast Ones, and Outisight. Also thanks to all the race prize donators: CHR Cars, FSF, BRP, and R-Geo. Every racer received at least one race prize to take home with them.
