My friend Larry scratchbuilt one too! Wish I had pictures, but it was all brass and very realistic. Just didn't have a driver...
That's a project I hope to build someday, with as cool a driver as this one.

What an awesome motor setup. JK's direct drive motor may be good for a project like this, but Frederic's really looks the part.

voila un nouveaux venue total fait maison bien sur sans les roue et axe qui provient d'un châssis AMF , le pilote de chez immense miniatures , et le moteur un 26D a + mes amis petit fred .

Whenever I drive a go-cart, my face looks a lot like that of the driver in the original post. Dang, those things are fun!

One of my race buddies from the late 80's & early 90's has moved on into real go carts and is an engine builder with lots of success. He could get a lot of Int-15 HP out of those old cans. https://www.facebook...100007417142972 if anyone is doing karts and you want killer HP Ted is your guy.

Super cool. You must be running a very low voltage not to "cook" that motor.
Driver kind of looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo
That second Kart with the 26D must haul ***!
Jairus, that picture comparison is amazing. Even has the early version of three wheel action 
Gotta love those "scrub" brakes.
Notice the T shirt on both as well.
I could have done without the faggy Charles Nelson Riley scarf on the box art though
