I can make a nice tracing of the body mount for you. If you are not in a hurry we are playing with a way to cut brass, if it works like we think I can cut a few for us.

 

I have done all the clean up on the Bandit stickers.

That's the Auto club nose sticker

The blue stripe,

and The number 44

Hold on I have not forgotten you, just have things to juggle things.

 

If you are ready to make the body mount I can take a straight on shot with clear dimensions.

I'm in no great rush, just getting my mind in gear, between the other dozen or so projects rattling around in my head.

 

How are you thinking of cutting the brass?

 

I'm happy to use your photo for the template, and I'm not really aiming at replicating a perfect copy.

So no need to send detail with dimensions unless you're going to do that for your own use.

 

One thing you could confirm for me tho, how thick is the brass??

 

Did you use the front motor mount in your car?

Hey Steve, yes I did use the front motor mount it was actually on the car when I got it. I thought better of taking it off, because I remember it being fiddly.

So just cleaned carefully with the motor in place.

 

Here is a pic of the body mount, its 1.5" X1.5" wide plus the tangs on the sides. It is .035'' thick.

That's one part I wish the powers that be could make a repop of 

[Martin]

 I am going to make a few of these mounts.  I think its a nice way to mount any open wheel body and a great way to make a repo Bandit.
