OK, my plate is finally clear enough that I can start posting the Fall Brawl XI race results, pulled from the excellent reports the LapMaster system generates.

First up is Can-Am Plus, which ran on Thursday, Nov 12, and had a total of 11 entries.

Congratulations to winner Matt Bruce.

(Most of the blank cells and other anomalies in these tables are due to an incorrect LapMaster configuration for the move-up scheme used for this class. This has been a problem at SpeedZone ever since the LapMaster system was installed, for at least three years. Mike, Mic, please contact Carsten and get this resolved.)

Can someone explain what "racer potential ranking" means and how it is calculated?

Here's the concept, reduced to simple figures.

Assume a racer's fastest lap on a lane is 5 secs. In a three-minute (180 second) heat, if he could run that 5 sec lap for every lap of the heat, he'd turn 36 laps. A heat of 36 laps laps represents his full, 100% potential.

If he only turns 33 laps, he only reached 91.6% of the potential number of laps he could have turned with a car that will do a 5 sec lap.

Carsten would have to chime in to tell us exactly how he calculates this within LapMaster, but this is the concept.
